Avalier R. Cowher

  Avalier R. Cowher, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday afternoon at his home.
  He was born Dec. 9, 1909, at Tyrone, a son of William and Minnie 
Parsons Cowher.  On August 26, 1930, at Philipsburg, he was married to 
Louise DeAngelo.  His wife is deceased.
  He is survived by three sisters and one brother, Kathleen Shawley, of 
Tyrone; Colorado Cowher, of Port Matilda; and Portie Cowher and Howard 
Cowher, both of Bellefonte.
  He had retired from the McFeely Brick Co., Port Matilda.
  Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pfeiffer 
Funeral Home, Millville, with interment in Pittsburg.  Friends will be 
received at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m.
