LEVI COWHER   12/8/1938   ALTOONA MIRROR

Aged ?8(first number in his age is unreadable), died at his home in Sandy Ridge 
Tuesday morning. He was born in Port Matilda, a son of Joseph and Lucy (Reese) 
Cowher, and had engaged in the meat and grocery business. Surviving are his 
wife, Mrs. Ella (Brown) Cowher; two sons and three daughters, Jesse, at home, 
Joseph of Sandy Ridge; Mrs. Beulah Tarman and Mrs. James Gunsallus, of Clarence 
and Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, of Clearfield; seven grandchildren, one brother 
and three sisters, Sylvester Cowher of Sandy Ridge, Mrs. James Stine, Frances 
Cowher and Mrs. Thomas Ryder, all of Tyrone.
