Cowher died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. R. H. Satterfield, of 321 Crawford avenue, at 7 o'clock Sunday morning. Death was due to paralysis, Mr. Cowher having been confined to his bed for nearly five years. Deceased was aged 80 years, 10 months and 13 days at the time of his death. He was a resident of Port Matilda, Centre county, until he came to the homes of his children, spending the time alternately between Altoona, Tyrone and Bellwood. For several years he served as constable in North township, Centre county. The following children survive: Howard and Russel, of Tyrone; William and Harvey, of Port Matilda; James, of Beaverdale; Mrs. Ella Given, of Bellwood, and Mrs. Baron Satterfield, of Altoona. One son, Theodore, died sixteen years ago. Thirty grandchildren and eleven great grand children also survive. The funeral will take place at Port Matilda Tuesday noon at 12.30 at the Methodist Episcopal church. Public services will be held at the home of his daughter, on Crawford avenue, at 3 o'clock this evening, Rev. J. E. Irvine officiating. Interment will be made at Black Oak cemetery.
