At 4 30 o'clock yesterday morning Miss Della Cox died at the Altoona hospital, to which institution she was taken on Friday for treatment for a tumor. The operation was performed Saturday afternoon, but she never rallied therefrom and died at the hour stated. Miss Cox was the daughter of James M. and Fannie M. Cox and was born in this city February 17, 1874. Her mother is dead and her surviving relatives are her father and the following half brothers and sisters, all residing in this city: Naomi, Robert, Charles E., Mary E., Margaret E. and Luella B. Cox. For some years past she made her home with her grandfather, Mr. Robert Cox, residing on Tenth street. She was a young woman of many beautiful traits of character, an earnest worker in the church of her choice and beloved by all who knew her. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Later yesterday the body was taken to the residence of her grandfather, 1611 1/2 Tenth Street, where friends can view the remains between the hours of 1 and 5 o'clock this afternoon. The body will afterward be conveyed to the residence of her father, 1007 Twenty-third avenue, where the funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. They will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. Horace Lincoln Jacobs, who will be assisted by the Rev. E. V. Brown, of the Fairview Methodist Episcopal church, Interment in Fairview cemetery.
