Cox, 86, of 1206 Cameron Ave., Tyrone, died Friday evening, February 9, 2007 at her residence. She was born August 30, 1920 in Tyrone a daughter of Walter Wade and Mary Ellen (Carling) Kirkpatrick. She was married January 12, 1944 in Dade Co., Florida to William H. Cox who died October 1, 2006. Surviving are four daughters: Mary Anna Sieber of Mount Union, Susan Moseman of Tyrone, Patty Shellenberger (Ken) of Tyrone and Nancy Page (Robert) of RD Garrett; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Martin of York. She was preceded in death by a half sister Stella Brenneman. She was a member of St. Matthew Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, and a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1938. She was a homemaker and was employed at the J. R. Wald Plant, the F&F Drycleaners and was the local registrar for vital records for 20 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, Tyrone, with Fr. Joseph T. Orr as celebrant. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with wake service at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Matthew Boy Scout Troop or to the Blair Co. Unit of the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648. Tyrone Daily Herald, February 12, 2007
