For the following we are indebted to the Altoona Tribune: Friday morning at 9.30 o'clock, David Woods Crawford, one of the best known residents of this section, died at his home on the Elihu Crawford farm, in Pleasant valley, near this city, aged about 45 years. Mr. Crawford had been unable to leave his bed since July last. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife - Mrs. Sarah Crawford, and five children, Mrs. Lizzie Ellenberger, Mary F., Robert W., Emily B. and William M. Also his mother, Mrs. Mary Crawford, of Sinking valley, who has lately passed through a severe illness; three brothers and one sister, Dr. L. F. and Dr. E. Crawford, of Tyrone; J. P. and Olivia A. Crawford, of Sinking valley. His father and sister preceded him to the grave. He was a member of the Second Lutheran church of this city and was a man who enjoyed the esteem of all who knew him. By his immediate family he will be greatly missed and by many other friends his death will be heard of with regret. The funeral took place on Monday morning, leaving the family residence at 8 o'clock and proceeding to the Lutheran church in Sinking valley, where services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. F.
