All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ FOSTER CRAWFORD Foster Crawford, age 94, of Sinking Valley, Tyrone RD 1, and a guest at the Hollidaysburg Presbyterian Home, died Monday, May 5, 2003 at 11:05 p.m. at the Altoona Hospital. He was born October 16, 1908 in Sinking Valley, the son of Ross F. and Alma Waite Crawford and on June 15, 1935 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona was married to Evelyn M. Stephens who preceded him in death on April 28, 1996. He is survived by a granddaughter, Regina M. Hall and a great grandson Casey Michael Hall, both of Pasedena, Texas, and was preceded in death by a son, Ross on August 8, 1977. Mr. Crawford was a lifelong self-employed Sinking Valley beef and dairy farmer. He was a member of the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church where he had served as a Deacon, a Trustee, and for 30 plus years as an Elder. He was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and had served as Superintendent of the Sunday School. He was a charter member of the Tyrone Township Planning Commission. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 18, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church with Pastor Pam Szurek and Rev. Robert Borland officiating. Private interment will be made in Arch Spring Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
