Crawford, 703 West 15th st., died at the Tyrone Hospital last night at ll:55 o'clock after a brief Illness. Crawford was born in Sinking Valley March 14, 1870, a son of Foster and Louisa Tussey Crawford. On March 14, 1907, he married Helen Moore of Canoe Valley, who survives, with two daughters, Eleanor, wife of George D. Weiss of Kutztown, and Dorothy Dean Crawford at home; one sister, Mrs. Hays W. Culp of Altoona; and two grandsons, John Crawford Weiss and Robert S. Weiss of Kutztown; one nephew at home, William P. Moore, and a number of nieces and nephews. He farmed on the old Crawford Homestead in Sinking Valley until he retired to Tyrone in 1946. In early life, he united with the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for many years before moving to Tyrone where he united with the First Presbyterian church and served as an elder there. Friends will be received at the home on Saturday between the hours of 2 to 5, and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Dr. R. L. Hutchinson.
