CREE Well known Middle division freight conductor and for many years a resident of Tyrone, died this morning at 2:35 o'clock at his home in the Farmer and Merchants National bank building, death being attributed to a stroke of apoplexy suffered on Monday evening while he was sitting by the radio in his home. His condition was critical from that time. Mr. Cree was born in Ironsville, the son of Samuel H. and Ellen Williams Cree. On Sept. 8, 1897, he was united in marriage with Miss Jane E. Van Scoyoc of Tyrone, who survives, with one son, S. Van Cree of Philadelphia, and one brother and one sister, Boyd Cree and Mrs. L. F. Garber of Roaring Spring. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was active in church and community work and was well liked in railroad and community circles. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. The body was removed to the Graham funeral home on Tenth street, Tyrone, where funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock in charge of his pastor, Rev. Dr. Joseph A. Speer.
