Yesterday evening at 6:30 o'clock, Mrs. Hannah Crissman, wife of Frederick Crissman, died of old age at her home, 822 Fourth avenue. The deceased was born at Shaver's Creek, Huntingdon county, March 25, 1815, and was thus aged 79 years, 4 months and 14 days. She was married in June, 1835, to Frederick Crissman, to which union eleven children were born, five of whom, together with the husband and father, survive to mourn their great loss. The children are: Amanda, at home; Mattie, living at Indian Run, Mercer county; Scott and Frank P., of this city, and Rev. F.H.Crissman, of Indiana county. In 1865 Mrs. Crissman removed with her husband from Huntingdon county to the Crawford farm in Pleasant Valley, and in 1872 they came to this city, having in the meantime lived for three years in Missouri. She was a member of Christ's Second Lutheran church almost from the time of its organization and was an earnest Christian woman, a faithful wife and loving mother. The funeral will take place on Friday, but the hour was not decided upon last night. Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, August 9, 1894
