GEORGE H. CRISTE

Of 424 First avenue, a retired grocer, died at his home at 9.35 o'clock 
yesterday morning as the result of a heart attack suffered Saturday.  
He was born on Oct. 24, 1867, at Loretto, but had resided in Altoona 
for many years, retiring from the grocery business eleven years ago.  
His wife, Mrs. Annie (Zimmerman) Criste, died on Dec. 24, 1931.  
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred Pfeffer, one granddaughter, Carol 
Sue Pfeffer, one granddaughter, Carol Sue Pfeffer, and the following 
brothers and sisters: John Criste, Mrs. Sadie Myers, Mrs. Lester 
Zimmerman, Mrs. Mary Moore, Mrs. Fred Hesser and Mrs. Charles Roessler, 
all of the city, and Frank Criste of Cresson.  Mr. Criste was a member 
of St. Mark's Catholic church where the funeral will be held Wednesday 
morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment will be made in 
Calvary cemetery.  The body may be viewed at the home.
