Croft, of Sproul, died at Fort Ethan Allen, Vt., on Oct. 10 of pneumonia, his body being brought to his late home yesterday by Sergeant Edward Drake. He was the son of Harry and Mary C. Croft of Sproul, in Greenfield township. Death resulted from pneumonia, after an illness of two weeks, on Oct. 10. The body was brought to his home in charge of Sergeant Edward Drake and the funeral took place on Oct. 13, in charge of Rev. Calvin Skyles, pastor of Grace Reformed church at Claysburg. Interment was made on the following Monday afternoon in Holsinger cemetery. The dead soldier was born Sept. 9, 1894, and enlisted on June 1, 1918. He was first sent to Camp Dix, at Wrightstown, N.J., and was later assigned to Company B, Thirty-first battalion, United States guards, and sent to Fort Ethan Allen.
