Cross, one of Hollidaysburg's best known and most popular citizens and retired Pennsylvania railroad employes, died yesterday afternoon, at 1.45 o'clock, at his home, 408 Blair street, after an illness of long duration, of a complication of diseases, aged 68 years, 4 months and 11 days. He was a son of Benjamin and Mary Cross (deceased) and was born at Alexandria. He had been a resident of Hollidaysburg for the past 45 years. He was married in 1870 to Miss Mary P. Maloy, who with five children survive him, as follows: Mrs. Robert S. Irvn [sic] of Juniata, Irvin of South Lakemont, Charles T. of Frankstown, Gertrude E. of New York city and Walter L. of Yonkers, N.Y. He is also survived by one brother, Charles, of Indianapolis and two sisters: Mrs. W. C. Gerst and Mrs. W. R. Bowers of Altoona. He was of Christ Reformed faith. Funeral services will be conducted at the late home tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, interment in Greenlawn cemetery. (Huntingdon papers please copy.)
