Cross, a well-known resident of Frankstown, died at the Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, at 6 o'clock yesterday morning of peritonitis, following a very brief illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1885, the daughter of William T. and Martha Butler (deceased), and spent her entire life in this county. Besides her husband, she is survived by five children, Kenneth, Donald, Margaret, Helen and Hazel. One sister, Mrs. Janet Ritts, of this city, and two brothers, Edward C. and Edward Butler [sic], both of Roaring Spring, survive, as do two half brothers, Eldon Butler, of the aero service, stationed at Dayton, O., and Albert Butler, of Ore Hill. She was a member of the Frankstown Methodist Episcopal church. The remains were taken to the home of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Cross, 408 Blair street, Hollidaysburg, and funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning and the remains will be taken to Roaring Spring for burial. The funeral of Mrs. Pearl Butler Cross will be held at the late home, 805 Blair street, Hollidaysburg, on Saturday at 12 o'clock noon, services in charge of Rev. E. E. Harter, pastor of the Methodist church. Following the service, the funeral party will take the Hollidaysburg branch train which leaves at 1.25, to Roaring Spring where interment will be made in the Greenlawn cemetery.
