JOYCE GWIN CROWELL 

Of 907 Floral Drive, Tyrone died yesterday, May 5, 1976 at Tyrone 
Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born June 24, 1929 in 
Grazierville, the daughter of Dean R. and Dorothy (Fagley) Gwin.  She 
was twice married, to Bruce Dane, who died Dec 18, 1962, and then on 
Nov. 7, 1976, she married Jules Crowell in Tyrone.  Surviving are three 
children, Michelle G. Dane of Altoona and Pamela N. and Scott B., at 
home:  six step-children, J. Ray Crowell of Grand Rapids, Mich., Gary 
E. Crowell of Harrisburg, Sister Jean Marie, of the Especial Church, 
New York City; Thomas S. Crowell of Fort Myers, Fla., Larry A. Crowell 
of Harrisburg, and Richard M., at home, her mother Mrs. Lester C. 
Schmittle of Grazierville; four grandchildren and a brother, Jerry D. 
of Owego N.Y.  She was a member or Trinity Episcopal Church Tyrone. 
Friends will be received in the Getz-Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone 
tomorrow.
