He was born in Altoona Sept. 5, 1897, the son of Charles G. and Mary (Haddock) Crumbaker. Surviving are his mother, his wife, Mrs. Elsie (Bannan) Crumbaker, and three daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Daugherty of Altoona, Shirley, a student nurse at Bryn Mawr, and Rae, at home. Mr. Crumbaker was a member of the First Lutheran church, the Mizpah Bible class, American Legion and 40 and 8 society. He was a veteran of World war I and served as a major in the signal corps reserve. Mr. Crumbaker was a clerk in the office of the supervisor of expenditures of the Pennsylvania railroad, and retired in February, 1948, on disability after 30 years' service with the company. Friends will be received at the Hickey funeral home after 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
