EMMA M. CUMMINGS

  Mrs. Cummings, 71, of Alameda, Calif., formerly of Altoona, died at noon 
Monday, March 1, 1982, in Alameda Hospital.
  Mrs. Cummings retired as a grocery and drug clerk from Western Market in 
Alameda, after 28 years' service.
  She was born Feb. 22, 1911, in Altoona, the daughter of William and Emma 
(Hartzell) Dumm, and married Kenneth E. Cummings.
  Surviving are her husband, two sons: Jack of Alameda and Kenneth R. of Albany, 
La., and four grandchildren.
  Also surviving are four sisters and a brother: Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffman of 
Pennsville, N.J.; Mrs. Gertrude Roland of Carlisle, Eugene of Altoona, Mrs. 
Dorothy Grove of Wilmington, Del., and Mrs. Cecelia Housely of Philipsburg.
  There will be no viewing,
  Arrangements by Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary and Memorial Park, Hayward, 
Calif.
