CUPPER Of 1606 Columbia avenue, Tyrone, a retired Pennsylvania railroad freight conductor, died at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the Mercy hospital where he was admitted two weeks ago after having been ill for several months. He was born in Lewistown, April 24, 1864, a son of John and Lydia (Thomas) Cupper. Surviving are three sons, R. W. Cupper, J.T. and Charles E. Cupper, all of Tyrone; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two brothers, Rufus Cupper and Harry Cupper of Tyrone. Mr. Cupper was a member of the Columbia avenue Methodist church, Tyrone lodge, No. 25, Loyal Order of Moose, the B. of R.T., and the Tyrone P.R.R. Veterans' Honor Roll association. He retired from the railroad service a number of years ago, his entire service having been given on the Tyrone division. The body was taken to the home of his son, R. W. Cupper, in Tyrone, from where the funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Columbia Avenue Methodist church in charge of the pastor, Rev. B. A. Salter, and Rev. G. A. Williams of Altoona. Interment will be made in Eastlawn cemetery, Tyrone. Altoona Mirror, Saturday, September 12, 1936
