All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ DANIEL THEODORE CURFMAN Died at 7 o'clock this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Beaston, 515 West 20th Street, Tyrone, after a three days' illness. He was born on February 15, 1856, at Rayville, Md., a son of Daniel and Surlinda (Macemore) Curfman. He was married on April 28, 1881, to Matilda A. Shiffler at Martinsburg. The wife died on April 7, 1936. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Beaston of Tyrone and one son Wilbur, a seaman on the west coast. Another son, George L. died in 1902. Mr. Curfman also is survived by one grandson, one brother William E. Curfman of San Diego, California, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Beyer and Mrs. Sadie Owen of Memphis, Nebraska. Mr. Curfman was employed as a blacksmith by the West Virginia Pulp and Paper company and was a member of the United Brethren church. Funeral services will be conducted at the daughter's home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be made in Grandview cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, November 4, 1936
