Yesterday afternoon Frank Curry, an ore miner working for the Blair Iron Company in what is known as the Frankstown slope, was instantly killed by a blast which failed to explode as soon as was expected, but when went off at the moment Mr. Curry returned into the slope, when he was literally blown to pieces. One leg could not be found. Mr. Curry was a brother-in-law of John Fitzharris, of the Logan House, in this town, and leaves a wife and seven children, who live in Frankstown. The funeral of Frank Curry, who was killed in the Franklin ore bank, took place yesterday at 10 o'clock from the residence of Mr. John Fitzharris. It was largely attended.
