Curry, who lived with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Curry, at 2316 Eighth avenue, was struck and instantly killed by St. Louis express while walking on the railroad track near the G.I. office at Fourth street, about 8:30 o'clock last evening. He was taken to Undertaker Lafferty's, but later in the night Undertaker Stevens, a cousin of the deceased, removed the body to the home of the parents. John S. Curry was born in Frankstown 38 years ago. For three years he had been a helper in the lower blacksmith shop, but a few days ago he drew his time and quit work. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother and three sisters - Mary, wife of William Walters, of Iowa; Sara, wife of Samuel Sweeney; Maggie, wife of J. R. Snyder, of Altoona, and William Curry, also of this city. The coroner held an inquest this afternoon. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Evening, March 21, 1893 The Funeral of John Curry. The young man who was struck and instantly killed by St. Louis express at Fourth street, on Monday last, took place this afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, the remains being laid to rest by Undertaker Stevens, a cousin of the deceased, in Oak Ridge cemetery.
