Mrs. Anna Dalton died at her residence, 417 Ninth street, at 10.55 o'clock Tuesday morning, aged about 84 years. Mrs. Dalton was a native of county Longford, Ireland, where she grew to womanhood and married her husband, John Dalton, who preceded her to the better country a little more than twelve years ago, having died in the spring of 1874. With her husband she came to this country about the year 1834, and spent the greater portion of her subsequent life in this state. She was a resident of Altoona from 1863 until the time of her decease. Two children, John and James Dalton, both residents of this city, survive to mourn their loss. The deceased was a devout member of St. John's Catholic church and was much respected by all who knew her. She enjoyed during the whole of her long life remarkable health, never having required the services of a physician and never having taken any medicine. Her death was due to old age, a wearing out of the bodily faculties and her end was peace. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, September 30, 1885, page 3 The funeral of Mrs. Ann Dalton will take place from her late residence No. 417 Ninth avenue, at 8 30 o'clock this morning. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. John's Catholic church; interment in St. John's cemetery. The Times, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, September 30, 1886, p. 4
