"Bus" Davidson, 80, of Schoch Hollow Road, RD 1, Box 567, Tyrone, PA died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006 at the Tyrone Hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1926 in Bellwood, PA, the son of the late Henry George and Ruth (Morrissey) Davidson. He was married July 16, 1948 at Cumberland, MD to Marilyn L. Bickel who died May 11, 2004. He is survived by a daughter Linda Strong and husband Larry; sons Robin Davidson and his wife Judy; and Butch Davidson and his special friend Linda, all of Tyrone; grandchildren: Angela (Michael) McConnell, Reggie (Becky) Davidson, Lauren (fiance Gary) Davidson and Logan Black, who was like a granddaughter; great grandchildren: Ashlyn Marie McConnell, Blane Colton Davidson; sisters: Mabel (the late Carl) Wilson, Ida Mae (Doug) Davis, Marilyn (Ernie) Weaver and Darlene (Danny) Maule and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandsons: Robin H. Davidson, Jr. and Scott A. Strong. He was a World War II Veteran serving from 1944-46 in the 81st Wildcat Div.- Army Infantry, 7th Regiment of the 1st Cavalry. He was stationed in Leyte in the Philippines receiving a Combat Infantry Badge, a Battle Star and Liberation Star. He was discharged as a Technician Corporal. He was a lifetime painter of residential and commercial buildings and retired from Grier School in 1998. His interests included deer hunting, horseshoe pitching, playing guitar and mandolin, watching football and his hunting camp. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or service. A private committal service will be at Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor P. William Glunt officiating at the convenience of the family. Interment at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
