DAVIS

  Charles Solomon Davis of 1010 Green avenue died yesterday morning at 
9 o'clock of pneumonia following the influenza.  He was born in Blair 
county, Aug. 24, 1870, the son of Samuel and Mary E. Davis and was 
employed as a moulder under Harry Stone.  He was married on Dec. 24, 
1890, to Miss Lula Fleck, who survives, together with the parents, and 
one son, Austin of Milwaukee, and one sister, Mrs. C. M. Stern, and a 
brother, Calvin Ray Davis, both of Altoona.  He was a Methodist by 
faith and a member of the Altoona lodge of Eagles.  The remains were 
taken to the home from which place the funeral will be held at 2 
o'clock Thursday, with interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
