SARA J. DAVIS, Widow of William A. Davis, died this morning at 7.15 o'clock at her home, 412 Howard avenue, after an illness of two years of a complication of diseases. She was born at Sarah Furnace, Blair county, on April 22, 1838, and was in her 77th year. She has resided in Altoona for over a half century, coming to Altoona in 1859. She was preceded to the grave by her husband, who died eleven years ago. A daughter died two years ago. She has been a life-long member of the Chestnut Avenue Methodist church and was a regular attendant. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Lou K. Spang, Daniel I. Davis, Robert J. Davis, Mrs. Clara B. Craig, Mrs. Mary C. Clousie and William L., all of Altoona, and George G. Davis of Indianapolis. A grandson, Hugh J. Wilson, also survives. He resides at the Davis home.
