DEAN - It is our painful duty to record the death of Mrs. Anna Rebecca Dean, wife of Hon. John Dean, and daughter of Hon. David Caldwell, at the residence of her father, in Gaysport, on Thursday afternoon, aged 44 years. The deceased, in company of her husband, had only the evening before returned from a month's visit to Atlantic City, where it was supposed her health might be benefited, but so delicate had she become, that it was thought prudent to take her to the residence of her father, near the Depot, where she was called home about four o'clock of the next day. She was for many years an invalid, and at times suffered greatly, but she bore her afflictions with meekness and christian resignation. She was a consistant member of the Presbyterian Church, a good christian, a faithful wife, a dutiful daughter, a kind friend and our whole community sympathise with her husband, her parents, and many relatives, and friends, in their sad bereavement. But their loss is to her eternal gain "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." On Saturday afternoon, her remains were followed to their last resting place by many relatives and sympathising friends, from different parts of the country.
