Dean, 1118 Pennsylvania ave., died Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at Tyrone Hospital after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 17, 1879, at Sinking Valley, the daughter of Orlando G. and Charlotte Ramey Fleck. She was married Sept. 5, 1931, at Lock Haven, to William W. Dean, deceased. She was a life-long resident of the Tyrone area. Surviving are a son, William H. Fleck, Falmouth, Va.; and the following brothers and sisters: Lee Fleck, Tyrone; Mrs. Jennie Lewis, Durant, Mich.; A. Roller Fleck, Sinking Valley; Mrs. Clara Russell, Canton, Ohio: three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the Howard Gardner Post No. 281, American Legion Auxiliary, the Anderson-Denny Post No. 4559, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and of the Sinking Valley Grange. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. John T. Peace. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., November 14, 1960
