John Dean, Who Died Thursday Evening in Hollidaysburg The Hon. John Dean, a justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, died at his home in Hollidaysburg at 7:30 o'clock Thursday evening from pneumonia and other complications. Three weeks ago Mr. Dean suffered a slight stroke of paralysis from which time his illness dated. Judge Dean was born in Williamsburg, Blair County, Feb. 15, 1835. In 1892 he was elected to the supreme bench on the Republican ticket, after having served as judge of the twenty-fourth judicial district, including Blair, Huntingdon and Cambria counties, having been elected in 1871. Prior to this he served as district attorney in Blair county, having been appointed to the office in 1867.
