VERNA E. DEAN 

  Miss Verna E. Dean, 93, formerly of the Tyrone Pa. House and a 
resident of Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte for the past two 
years, died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Centre Crest Home.
  She was born September 14, 1913 in Tyrone, the daughter of George 
Washington and Margaret E. (Liedig) Dean.
  She is survived by four nieces and one nephew: Darlene Schoch and 
husband Joe of Pleasant Gap, Bonnie Triplett and husband Dave of 
Baltimore, Md., Vince Dean and wife Judy of Grazierville, Sheila Hoffer 
and husband Jim of Grazierville and Susan Dean and 15 great-nieces and 
nephews.
  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Arthur Dean.
  She was a longtime member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
  She was a kind and loving aunt and always enjoyed visiting with 
family.
  She retired in 1975 from Big Yank Corp., Tyrone, as a Trimmer and 
Inspector after 32 years service.
  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 4 p.m. at the 
Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Rev. Norman E. Huff 
officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
  Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 
p.m.
