DEARDORFF.

  Mrs. Lavina Deardorff of Newport died at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. J. R. Crist, 308 Third avenue, yesterday morning at 2:45 o'clock.  
She suffered from a complication of diseases and was ill for one week.  
She was born in Newville on Oct. 8, 1841, and made her home at Newport, 
Pa., for forty-five years.  She was a member of the Second Lutheran 
church.  She is survived by one daughter.  Interment will be made at 
Newport.

FUNERAL NOTICE

  The funeral of Mrs. Lavina Deardorff will be held on Saturday evening 
at 9 o'clock at the home of the daughter, Mr.s J. R. Crist, 308 Third 
avenue.  The remains will be taken to Newport on Sunday morning on the 
10:15 train for interment.
