DeArment, 79, of 2112 Adams Ave., Tyrone, died Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2006 at the Altoona Regional Health System-Altoona Hospital Campus. He was born June 30, 1927 in Tyrone, a son of Fred J. and Margaret (Lang) DeArment. He was married June 27, 1953 at Winchester, VA to Beverly Harpster. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, LuAnn Jaworski and her husband Dennis of Bellefonte. Two grandchildren, Robert Jaworski and his wife Jennifer of Homer City, PA and Alissa Milanese and her husband Brad of Bellefonte; great grandchildren Lynne and James Jaworski and Kyla Milanese. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Donald and James. He was a graduate of Tyrone High School in 1947 and was life member and past fire chief of the Neptune Fire Co., Tyrone. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his favorite hobby of woodworking and cabinet-making. He had been employed at Burley Bros. Bottled Gas for 11 years and Big Yank Corp. for 25 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at 12 noon at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone with Rev. T. M. Talbot-Moses officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service at noon. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be given to the Blair Co.
