ELMA BEATRICE DE ARMITT

  Elma Beatrice DeArmitt, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. 
DeArmitt, of the Thompson building on Second street, Juniata, died on 
Saturday evening at 5 o'clock as the result of diphtheria.  The young 
girl was sick for two weeks and was thought to be getting well when a 
relapse, affecting her kidneys, caused her death.  She was born in 
Greenwood on January 25, 1904, and besides her parents is survived by 
three brothers and one sister - Frank, James, Nellie and Luther, all at 
home.  The deceased child was a bright pupil in the Juniata Central 
Grammar school and a regular attendant in the Sunday school of St. 
Paul's Reformed church.  Funeral service that will necessarily be 
private will be held in the home this morning at 10 o'clock.
