Miss Alice Delozier, daughter of Levi (deceased) and Mary Delozier, died at her home at Kladder station, at 7 o'clock on Thursday evening, after an illness dating from Sunday, aged 40 years, 4 months and 9 days. Miss Delozier was a victim of ptomaine poisoning. Last Sunday she had partaken of canned salmon and ice cream, and the physicians who were called were on the unanimous opinion that the two articles of food created the deadly poison in her system which culminated in death. Miss Delozier spent her entire life in the vicinity of Kladder. She was a most amiable young woman and had a host of friends who will sincerely mourn her demise. She is survived by her aged mother and the following brothers and sisters: William, of Altoona; Mrs. Martha Brenner, of Johnstown; Samuel and Jesse, of Kladder; Mrs. Ellen Strayer and Mrs. Della Finnegan, of Gaysport, and Mrs. Grace Wineland, of South Bend, Armstrong county. She was a consistent member of the Brethren church, at Vicksburg. The funeral cortege will leave the house, on Sunday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, and proceed to the Vicksburg church, where services will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. J. I. Hall; interment in the adjoining cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Saturday morning, August 3, 1918, page 8
