CATHARINE DENNY Died at Home on Oak Street in the Seventh Ward. Mrs. Catharine A. Denny died at her house on Oak street in the seventh ward of Tyrone, at ten minutes after 8 o'clock Friday morning, after an illness of two weeks from a complication of diseases incident to old age. She was born at McVeytown in December, 1830, and was therefore a little more than 70 years old. Her maiden name was Catharine A. McIntyre. Something less than forty years ago, she was married to Peter Denny who was a veteran of the Civil war. Her husband died in East Tyrone twelve years ago. One son, Elmer E. Denny, survives and resides somewhere in the west. An adopted daughter, Mrs. Laura Copenhaver, also survives and resides at Orbisonia, Huntingdon County. Deceased came to Tyrone when she was yet young and since then spent all her life here, and was known by almost all the people of the community. She was a member of the M. E. church. Her parents both died long since. The funeral will occur Sunday afternoon. Services at the home of the nephew of deceased, 2134 Adams Avenue, at 3 o'clock by Reverend J. D. W. Deavor Ph. D.
