DETERS Well known resident of Roaring Spring, died yesterday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock at the Nason hospital, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. He was the son of Milligan and Lucy (McCartney) Deters and was born at Warriors Mark on Nov. 17, 1878. He was twice married, the first union being with Ora Belle Shultz at Cumberland, Md., on Oct. 10, 1904. To this union one son and one daughter survive, Mrs. Thomas Swartz of Altoona and George Deters of Duncansville. Mr. Deters was united in married with Mrs. Pearl Berkheimer Emeigh at Cumberland, Md., on June 27, 1936, who survives, with four step-children, Jesse, Helen M., W. Russell and John W. Emeigh, all of Roaring Spring; one brother, Walter Deters of Steubenville, O., and one sister, Mrs. Emma Mader. Mr. Deters was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. hand-dated 10/25 DETERS - Funeral services for Joseph R. Deters will be conducted in the Trinity Methodist church in Roaring Spring Monday afternoon at * o'clock, the cortege leaving the home at Locust street at 1.30. Services in charge of Rev. W. W. Banks.
