DETERS Mrs. Deters, 92, a resident of Washington, D.C. for the past 30 years, and formerly of Roaring Spring, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 1982, at Wisconsin Avenue Nursing Home, Washington, D.C. She was born April 20, 1890, in Taylor Township, Blair County, the daughter of Charles L. and Sarah (Hanely) Birkhimer, and was twice married, first in 1909, to William M. Emeigh, who died in 1922, then in 1936, to Joseph R. Deters, who died in 1939. Surviving are a son John W. Emeigh of Washington, D.C., seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. A daughter, Mrs. Helen Wyckoff, died June 28, 1982. Mrs. Deters was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, and attended St. Luke's Methodist Church while she resided in Washington, D.C. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. DETERS - Services for Pearl B. Deters of Washington, D.C., formerly of Roaring Spring, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by Dr. Brinton Shafer. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Two sons, Jesse and Russell, also preceded her in death.
