De Turk, wife of B. H. De Turk, of 1700 Eleventh avenue, occurred on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. and was caused by dropsy of the heart, with which she had been afflicted for over a year. The deceased lady was born in Reading March 23, 1839, and was married February 16, 1859, to Mr. De Turk. She has been a resident of this city for the last seven years and was a member of the Third Presbyterian church. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, John Z and Benjamin H., both of Pittsburg, and one daughter, Bessie F., who is at home. The other near relatives of the deceased who survive are her sisters, Mrs. G. B. Stevens, of Reading; Mrs. H. B. Strodach, of Brooklyn; Mrs. Anna B. Carle, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Julia Grig, of California, and three brothers, William Zeller, of Philadelphia, and John and Amos Zeller, of Reading. The funeral, in charge of Undertaker Lynch, will probably take place on Tuesday. The body will be taken to Reading for interment. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, February 18, 1895, page 4
