On Sunday Miss Mary Dever, daughter of Mr. James Dever, died at her home, No. 514 Sixth avenue. The deceased was born in Cambria county, but her parents were for many years residents of Altoona. She was 31 years of age and died of consumption, of which she had for several years been a sufferer. Her mother died three years ago and since then the daughter, although most of the time was an invalid, nobly performed her duty to the younger members of the family. Miss Mary Dever, eldest daughter of Mr. James Dever, died at noon yesterday at her father's residence, No. 514 Sixth avenue. Miss Dever's family formerly resided in Munster township, Cambria county, but have lived in Altoona for a number of years and are widely acquainted. The deceased, who was aged31 years, had been in delicate health the past three years, and died of consumption. Her mother died three years ago and since then Miss Mary, although most of the time an invalid, nobly performed her duty to the younger members of the family. She was a most exemplary Christian lady, and a zealous member of St. John's Catholic congregation. She was also a member of the Sodality connected with St. John's church, the members of which will attend her funeral in a body to-morrow morning at 8.30 o'clock.
