C. ARTHUR DICK

Of 425 Walnut St., Roaring Spring, died at 10:35 a.m. yesterday, Sept. 
29, 1969, in Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, after an extended illness. 
He was born at Ore Hill on Nov. 26, 1884, a son of Samuel B. and Ann 
(Gorman) Dick, and in 1911 married Stella C. Pote, who died Jan. 1, 
1967. Surviving are four children, Chester O. of Boardman, Ohio, Mrs. 
Marjorie Himes of Reedsville, Mrs. Phyllis Appleman of Roaring Spring 
RD and Miss Doris, at home; eight grandchildren, six great-
grandchildren, a brother, Claude of Roaring Spring RD, and four half-
sisters, Mrs. Goldie Feathers, Mrs. Edith Isenberg, Mrs. Irene Myers 
and Miss Susan Dick of Roaring Spring. Mr. Dick was a member and life 
elder of the Roaring Spring Church of God, member of the Men's Bible 
Class and Friendship Fire Company. He retired in 1950 from the PRR 
Juniata shops. Friends will be received in the Thompson Funeral Home, 
Roaring Spring, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. today.
