Mrs. Dick was born in Taylor township April 6, 1871, a daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Strayer) Garber. She married Samuel B. Dick Aug. 15, 1889, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons and six daughters, Joseph and Walter of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Charles Lingenfelter of Claysburg, Mrs. Harold Gates of Altoona, Mrs. Goldie Feathers, Mrs. Irene Myers, Mrs. Paul Isenberg and Miss Susan Dick, all of Roaring Spring; three step- children, Arthur and Claude of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Roxana Lykens of Port Matilda; 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the home of Alvin Feathers, 224 Poplar street, Roaring Spring. Altoona Mirror, August 24, 1949
