DICK [photo] Retired Paper Firm Official Expires In R. S. A retired D. M. Bare Paper Company employe, Joseph G. Dick of 716 Locust St., Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. yesterday at his home. Mr. Dick was born in Scotia, Centre County, April 12, 1896, a son of Samuel and Harriet (Garber) Dick, and married Leda M. Soyster April 29, 1915, at Cumberland, Md. Surviving are his wife, six children, Gerald A. and Donald S. of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Ruby M. Hoover of Williamsburg, Joseph S. of Somerset, Mrs. Jane Greenleaf of Martinsburg and Roger of Hollidaysburg RD 1; 10 grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Golda Feathers, Mrs. Irene Myers, Miss Susan and Mrs. Edith Isenberg, all of Roaring Spring, and Mrs. Mary Gates of Eldorado, and two half-brothers, Arthur of Roaring Spring and Claude of Roaring Spring RD. Mr. Dick was a member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren and the Bethany Bible Class. He retired in 1963 from the D. M. Bare Paper Company as assistant superintendent, but served the firm as a consultant until last month. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, after 7 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Monday, thereafter at the church. Altoona Mirror, March 6, 1965
