DICK Well known resident of Taylor township, expired suddenly yesterday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at his home at Roaring Spring, R.D. He had been doing some work about his home, and returned to the house and collapsed in the kitchen. He was a son of Michael and Mary (Burket) Dick and was born at Sarah Furnace on Jan. 2, 1861. He was united in marriage with Laura Gettleman at Ore Hill, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Isaac Hickman on March 25, 1883. Surviving are his wife and these brothers and sisters: Henry, John and Porter of Roaring Spring, R.D., Harvey Dick of Brookes Mills, Mrs. Sarah Baughamer of Johnstown and Mrs. Anna Lingenfelter of Pittsburgh. Mr. Dick was a member of the Trinity Methodist church in Roaring Spring and teacher of the Adult Men's Bible class in the Sunday school. He had retired from active work some years ago. Friends are being received at the home. DICK - Funeral services for William B. Dick of Roaring Spring, R.D., will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Holsinger Church of the Brethren in charge of Rev. W.W. Banks, pastor of Trinity Methodist church, Roaring Spring. Interment in the Holsinger cemetery. Friends are being received at the home. Altoona Mirror, October 24, 1939
