Mr. Dickson, 57, of 416 1/2 3rd Ave., died at 7:16 p.m. Monday, March 1, 1982, in Altoona Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 2, 1924, in Birmingham, a son of Victor L. and Mary (Parks) Dickson, and Jan. 14, 1947, in Altoona, married Malinda I. Shaw. Surviving are his wife, eight children: Foster L. Jr. of Tyrone, Mrs. Janet L. Summers, Raymond H. and Victor L. of Altoona, Jeffrey L., at home; Jeannette E. Barnes of Lewistown, Staff Sgt. Francis L. of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Cpl. Ralph A. of Camp Lejeune, N.C., and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother of Altoona and four sisters: Mrs. Beulah Igou of Altoona and Mrs. Betty Fuoss, Mrs. Esther Shildt and Mrs. Nancy Britton of Tyrone. Mr. Dickson was a member of the Altoona Gospel Temple. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone.
