DICKSON Mrs. Mary Ellen Dickson, wife of Adam L. Dickson, died at the family home, at 1409 Blair avenue, last night at 10:25 o'clock following a three days' illness with pneumonia. Mrs. Dickson had been enjoying fairly good health and had spent the Christmas season happily with the various members of her family. She was stricken last Monday, her condition gradually becoming worse until she passed away. Mrs. Mary Ellen Dickson was a daughter of George W. and Mary (McCormick) Morrow and was born in Sinking Valley on March 3, 1851. Fifty-four years ago she was united in marriage with Adam Leffard Dickson, at Tyrone, the ceremony being performed by Rev. B. J. Hummell, then pastor of the Tyrone United Brethren church. Rev. Hummell now resides in Clearfield, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Dickson became residents of Tyrone on March 15, 1893. She is survived by her husband and these children: Mrs. Harry E. Kauffman, Tyrone; Mrs. Linus Gill, Milesburg; David C. Dickson and Mrs. Joseph A. Dickson, both of Tyrone. Three children preceded the mother to the grave - George Dickson, Hayden Dickson and Mrs. H. E. Schirm. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was the last of her immediate family. She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church since girlhood. Funeral services will be held at the Dickson home on Blair Avenue on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Joseph A. Speer, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, followed by burial in Arch Spring cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 1, 1937
