Warren Dickson Jr., 77, of Mountain Home, ID., died in the VA Hospital at Boise, ID. He was born in Tyrone, the third son of Warren and Margaret Dickson. He enlisted in the United States Navy in January 1942. During the years, 1942- 1944, he saw action in the South Pacific aboard the destroyer USS Anthony. He also served aboard the the ammunition ship USS NITRO in the Atlantic. He left the Navy to enlist in the United States Air Force in 1948 where he flew as a crew chief on several bomber types. After his military service, he worked in the aerospace industry for several years. He then became a meat cutter for a large chain until his retirement. He continued his active life as a handyman and avid outdoorsman. He built a hunting cabin near his home in Idaho, which he enjoyed with his former military buddies. He was a member of the Elks in which he held a high office. Warren was three times married. Two wives, Betty Gregory and Theresa Arbini, a brother John of Torrence, CA, and a sister Patricia of Laguna Hills, CA, preceded him in death. Survivors include his son Robert and wife Donna, granddaughter Renee and her husband Damon Conn with her son Haven and daughter Abby of Uniontown, OH, and grandson Daniel and his wife Camille of Orlando, FL. Also surviving are brothers Paul of Grazierville, Earl of San Diego, CA, Donald of Los Angeles, CA, Richard of Groton, CT, Robert of Garden Grove, CA, and two sisters Mary of Fountain Valley, CA., and Carol of Huntingdon Beach, CA with their families. A memorial service will be held on November 16, 2002 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, in Garden Grove, CA. Interment will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Palmdale, CA.
