CHRISTIANA DIEHL Mrs. Christiana Diehl, wife of Isaac Diehl, died about 5 o'clock Friday afternoon November 17, at her home near Diehl's Cross Roads, in her 46th year. Mrs. Diehl's maiden name was Frederick, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Frederick, deceased. Mrs. Diehl had not been in good health for some years, but her death was sudden and unexpected, the messenger having summoned her while sitting on a chair in her home. The funeral occurred the following Monday morning with services in the Cross Roads Church of the Brethren conducted by Rev. M. R. Brumbaugh of Martinsburg, and Rev. D. A. Stayer of Yellow Creek. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Besides her husband she is survived by one brother and two sisters: Samuel I. Frederick of near Woodbury; Mrs. Lizzie Quarry, Henrietta, and Mrs. Jennie Metzker, Fredericksburg. Martinsburg Herald, December 1, 1916
