He was born Aug. 5, 1844, in Warriors Mark Valley, being united in marriage in early manhood with Miss Martha Bookhamer, who preceded him to the grave a few years ago. He was a farmer and lawyer by occupation, and for eighteen years preceding his death had resided in this community. The following children survive: John of Grazierville, Sanford of Osceola Mills, Harry of Trafford City, George of Washington, D.C., Edward of Williamsburg. One brother, William Dixon, lives near Tyrone. Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Grazierville Methodist church, of which he was a member, interment at Charlottesville.
