All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ SARAH ELLEN DIXON Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Sarah Ellen Dixon, 80, of Osceola Mills, who died Saturday night in the Philipsburg State General Hospital. She had been ill for six weeks. Born in Tyrone, January 21, 1882, she was the daughter of Wilson and Harriet Bailey Roach. Her husband, David E., died in 1920. Surviving are the following 14 children: Harriet, wife of Calvin Miller, Osceola Mills; Wilson, at home; Minnie, wife of Walter Bacher, Ramey; Elizabeth, wife of William Boggan, Philipsburg; Mrs. Charlotte Bryan, Osceola Mills; Bertha, wife of Clifford Swisher, Lewistown; David, Sandy Ridge; Robert, Tonowanda, N. Y.; John and Theodore of Osceola Mills; Ernest, Munson; Frank, Osceola Mills; Calvin, Philipsburg; and Harvey, Sandy Ridge. Forty-nine grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren also survive, along with these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Bertha Nichols, and Mrs. Charlotte Langer, both of Altoona; Mrs. Nina Gravish, Frank Roach and Mrs. Catherine Frantz, all of Osceola Mills. Mrs. Dixon was a member of the C. M. & A. church. Services will be held from the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. John Richmond and the Rev. Stewart Mason officiating.
