Mr. Dodson's health had been failing for some time and recently he underwent treatment in the Nason hospital, but had returned home somewhat improved and was able to be about up to the past week-end. He was born in East Freedom on March 6, 1866, a son of Elias and Elizabeth Dodson, pioneer Freedom township residents. He was united in marriage with Ada Berkheimer, the ceremony being performed by George B. Young, justice of the peace, in East Freedom. Mrs. Dodson survives, with the following children: Mrs. Sadie Feather of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Elizabeth Gardner of Tyrone, Mrs. Fannie Nisely of [*torn*], Mrs. Clara Noll, Mrs. Edith **rker and Elias Dodson, all of Altoona; James Dodson, residing in Montana; Miss Jennie, Charles and Wilfred, all of East Freedom. Also surviving are one brother, Samuel Dodson of East Freedom and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Gallagher of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. William Rhodes of Newry. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church in Newry. Mr. Dodson devoted most of his life to dealing in horses and other livestock and, through his long experience with horses, became an authority on diseases and their treatment and he rendered valuable services to the community where he spent his entire life. The funeral cortege will leave the home Wednesday morning at 8.30 o'clock, proceeding to Newry where services will be conducted in St. Patrick's Catholic church at 9 o'clock.
