DODSON, 88, of Claysburg, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 1979, in the Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, following an extended illness. Known as Pap, Mr. Dodson retired from the machine shop of General Refractories, Claysburg, in 1959, after 18 years' service. He was born Feb. 15, 1891, in Greenfield Township, the son of Abraham and Mary (Dodson) Dodson, and married Maude Grace Burket, who died Jan. 24, 1960. Surviving are seven children, Gerald in New Jersey, Mrs. Betty Staub of Imler RD, Paul, Melvin, James, Darl and Helena, of Claysburg; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Irene Delozier of Roaring Spring. Mr. Dodson was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a charter member of the Claysburg American Legion and Earnest-Dively VFW Post of Claysburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg. DODSON - Services for Egbert B. Dodson of Claysburg will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg, by the Rev. John Fueller. Interment in Claysburg Union Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and noon to time of services Tuesday.
